Buying & selling How do I write a great post?

Follow these tips to increase your chance of making a deal.

Don’t underestimate the power of photos. Photos help other users to see what they’re buying. Try to upload a few shots from different angles. Make sure you have good lighting and avoid filtered or blurry photos. Items with photos taken by the seller do better than catalogue photos or screenshots.

Many new sellers make the mistake of setting too high a price. Try looking for similar items on Karrot and comparing your price to others. This should give you an idea of the range you want to be in. Want to sell quicker? Then try reducing your price, users who have favourited your post will be notified of your discount.

Use simple and plain English. Don’t miss important details such as size, colour and condition.

If you have something you just want to give away, then set your price to zero.
